Detox to Lose Weight

We all hear about the benefits of detoxing our bodies but do we know what these toxins are and how they are absorbed into our bodies? Toxins are chemicals or poisons that are known to have effects on the body such as bloating, weight gain, heart disease, and even cancer. There are three types of toxins that our bodies absorb through food, water, the air and chemicals. When our bodies absorb these toxins they are processed through the liver and kidneys but aren’t always eliminated completely.

We are exposed to many toxins every day which makes it difficult for our bodies to naturally release them on a regular basis, this is why it is important to actively detox.  One easy way to detox that we recommend is our Daily Detox supplement which helps with removing the toxins from your liver and kidneys, this is an easy daily supplement that helps flush toxins that are related to hormone imbalance and obesity.

The first kind of toxin that can be absorbed into the body are metal toxins. Many people wonder how we consume metal toxins such as mercury, lead, and aluminum so easily but it is more common than you think. These toxins can be absorbed by fish, vaccinations, antiperspirants and contaminated water. Metals tend to build up in your body over time and can cause serious damage if you don’t catch it soon enough which is why it is important to actively detox to prevent this damage to your body.

Other toxins that are absorbed into the body are chemicals. The most common chemical that is absorbed is Bisphenol A (BPA) which is consumed through plastics mainly used to make bottled water and plastic containers. The BPA in these plastics is released into food/water when it is heated at high temperatures. Most plastic containers and bottles are now BPA free but it is important to avoid heating food in anything that is plastic. To avoid consuming BPA it is best to use a glass dish when cooking anything in the microwave.

Pesticides are the most common toxins that our bodies absorb because they come from the food we eat, mainly foods that are produced on a farm. Even though pesticides are toxic, farmers use them to protect their crops from damage that will cause the crops to die such as bugs, rodents and the growth of weeds. We can’t completely avoid consuming pesticides but some ways are to grow your own fruits and vegetables or get organic foods that are grown without the use of pesticides.

With so many toxins that we come into contact with each day, it is important to help your body flush them out. If you have questions or want to get started with our Daily Detox supplement, call us at 800-980-7208.
