Amino Diet Long Term Results: Michelle

Each year for the past 15 years I have made a resolution to change my eating habits and lose weight. The weight I needed to lose was not much, but after having 3 kids my body changed, it was not the same body I had in my early 20’s, and quite frankly I was miserable.

In 2012, I was going to finally stick to my yearly resolution and I was determined to try one more weight loss attempt. I found Amino Diet online and saw that it was similar to HCG, however after reading more into it I noticed it was VERY different and I was allowed to eat more calories and there were more approved foods that I enjoyed eating; and it seemed less likely that I would fail. So, I gave it a shot.

In October 2012, at 5’2” and 156 lbs, I began taking the drops and following the food protocol and within the first week I lost 5 lbs, I was shocked! My next challenge was to get through the second week; even after all the cravings I was having I survived. I knew my body was detoxing all the bad stuff out and I was excited to get past the second week. SUCCESS, I was down 10 lbs! Now 146 lbs, this was amazing!

In my third week I had a trip planned to travel back home to see family, I was not sure how well I could hold back my cravings while being around good food all the time. I ate some of my favorites, but in moderation and only gained a few pounds back and had stalled. After I came home I followed the protocol after the stall and did a VLCD. By the next day I had lost those few pounds and was back on track.

Because I did not have a bunch of weight to lose to begin with, I had already hit a plateau over the next couple weeks with the total loss of about 2 lbs, now 144 lbs, but it was still coming off and I was happy. By the start of the third month I was down another 15 pounds and was already looking ahead and imagining how I would change my habits for LIFE after Amino.

In month 3, without the cravings anymore for the chocolates and fatty foods I was able to explore and try new recipes and I actually fell in love with cooking again, but the healthy way. I feel better about what I was putting into my body. The Amino recipes are not just protocol for the person on the plan; the recipes can be made for the entire family and it doesn't seem like you are cooking 2 separate meals and dodging TEMPTATION each time the family eats!

My goal was to lose another 6 pounds by month 4,  but after losing 27 pounds in 3 months I knew the last 6 lbs were going to be easy!

By February of 2013 (month 4) I weighed in at 122! I LOST 34 total pounds on AMINO in 4 months. I DID IT! I went from wearing size 12 pants to size 5!

What did I do next??? I donated all of my old clothes and went on the most amazing shopping spree of my life! And for the first time ever, I didn’t return stuff to the “It doesn't fit rack” because... THEY ALL FIT!

But my story continues…..

Since my weight loss in 2013, I became pregnant with my 4th child and all throughout my pregnancy I maintained a normal weight gain and I only gained about 25 lbs in 9 months. After I had the baby in April of 2014, my weight quickly dropped back down to 132 lbs and I maintained that for the last 3 ½ years. I was not really following any protocol during that time I was just making better choices still and didn’t really worry since I was still in a healthy weight range.

NOW….. fast forward to 2018, after the recent holiday’s came and went, I noticed my clothes were fitting a bit snug again so I stepped on the scale…… 144 lbs! How did this happen?

I couldn’t help but to imagine myself at 156 lbs again and I was just 12 lbs away from being miserable, because I knew how unhealthy I felt at my heaviest! So I went back to what I knew, AMINO.

I immediately ran to the store, got my approved foods, started back on the drops, and changed my habits again. Since January 17th to January 23rd 2018, I have already lost 5 lbs, now 139 lbs. This stuff really works and even more important, the plan is easy to stick to and very easy to understand so I didn’t have to do much studying to get back on track. I still have 17 lbs to go to get back to my original goal weight of 122 lbs, but I trust and believe in the Amino protocol and more importantly I have trust in myself that it can be done….. again.

I now hold myself accountable by tracking my journey through social media and my blog because if everyone can see my journey as I go, it’s harder to hide the setbacks. I am human, and I do have setbacks so sharing on social media and through my blog makes me transparent in my journey.

My entire weight loss journey has already inspired others and they ask me what I did to lose the weight and I have already referred many of them to Amino and they have also had success with it. The best part of all of this is when people notice and say, "Have you lost weight?", I smile and say yes!

I am glad I can be an inspiration to those I know and hope I can be an inspiration to those I do not know through my story! Thank you Amino.
